The requirement to have financial statements audited by a statutory auditor applies to companies that meet certain thresholds – including joint-stock companies and, in the case of limited liability companies, those exceeding two of the following three thresholds: EUR 2.5 million in total assets, EUR 5 million in net revenue or 50 employees.
